This ad came out in 2004 to herald the arrival of the then-new C6 Corvette.
It was banned shortly thereafter, ostensibly for giving kids the wrong ideas about borrowing Dad’s ‘Vette and listening to The Stones.
Bullshit. It was banned because it was too awesome.
This ad compresses pretty much everything that is good in the world into about a minute of really well-made tv. Red sports cars, The Rolling Stones, Corvettes, New York City, girls, burnouts, cars jumping through the air, manual transmissions, skipping school, swingsets… There is nothing bad or wrong about this spot at all.
I want to be that kid SO BAD.
