Hoy hoy!

Hey all, I’m Martin. I’m from a small town just a teensy bit north of New York City. When I’m not home, I’m generally at Emerson College, in Boston.

I’m currently the Program Director at WERS. We’re New England’s oldest noncommercial radio station, and the Best Radio Station in Boston, according to the Improper Bostonian and Boston Globe.

During the last two summers, I was a writer and intern at Jalopnik.com, the internet’s leading car news and culture blog, and part of the Gawker Media Empire. It’s a very cool place to work, and I love it.

I play drums, mess around on mandolin, and take pictures. I’m really into old rock & roll and old cars. New ones, too. I really enjoy seeing how long I can stay up every year watching the 24 Hours of Le Mans car race in France. (This year, I made it until about 2:30 New York time, and then woke up for the finish.)

I also like dusk, driving late at night in the summer with the windows down and radio up, really good pizza, beaches, watches, M & M’s, vinyl, old bikes, typewriters, autumn, and being silly.

Say hey, I won’t bite!
